Heat Recovery Ventilation Systems: What You Need to Know
Exciting progress is occurring at Linley Park Estates! Two of our houses currently under construction are nearing their completion. 5360 Cascara Drive and 5345 Cascara Drive are unique, and differentiate in the sense that they have a dark and light color scheme respectively. Both are built in the highly popular Westcoast Contemporary Architectural Style.
Something that majorly differentiates these homes from others on the market is the fact that they contain a heat recovery ventilation system (HRV). This is a highly demanded innovative technology, designed to recover the heat from the warm air already in the house that you would normally lose.
Not only is this system energy efficient, but it also has multiple other benefits. The benefits include a constant supply of fresh air, increased air quality, less condensation in bathrooms, less dust and higher efficiency by lowering heating bills. By keeping the excess moisture out of the home, it increases the longevity of not only the structure but the furnishings as well. Do you wake up still feeling tired? One of the health benefits of an HRV is that you will wake up feeling less groggy, simply because there is more oxygen in the room.
The US Environmental Protection Agency lists indoor air quality as being one of the top 5 air pollution issues. Some of the concerns include carbon monoxide, formaldehyde and volatile organic compounds. Further reason to have an HRV is that residential home construction guidelines are becoming stricter with respect to insolation and making homes more airtight at the same time. HRV’s can help solve this problem by providing more ventilation in your home, consequently lowering the risk of mold and humidity being trapped inside.
We think that your health, your home and the environment are extremely important, thus, we believed installing an HRV system was essential.
